Safe placement & foster home development
Safe places. Affirming people.
Recruit and train LGBTQIA+-affirming foster and kinship families. Develop a respite network for youth leaving hostile placements.
Philly roots. Louder futures.
Queer and trans youth deserve safety, belonging, and a say. We’re building a Philadelphia collective to stand beside LGBTQIA+ youth navigating foster care, group homes, and juvenile justice.

Our founding commitments
We’re at the beginning. These are the principles we’re building around—not claims of services already running.
01 / Youth set the direction
Center Black, Brown, and Indigenous queer and trans youth in decisions—not just conversations.
02 / Safety is non-negotiable
Build toward placements free from harassment, misgendering, and conversion practices.
03 / Justice is intersectional
Challenge racism and anti-LGBTQIA+ discrimination together. Neither gets a pass.
The support system we’re building
Four connected priorities. One goal: youth who are safe, affirmed, and equipped to shape their own futures.
01 / System advocacy
Safe placement & foster home development
Recruit and train LGBTQIA+-affirming foster and kinship families. Develop a respite network for youth leaving hostile placements.
Legal rights & civil aid
Build legal partnerships for name and gender marker support, civil rights advocacy, and representation that prioritizes affirming placements.
Healing, mentorship & empowerment
Connect youth with system-experienced mentors and develop paid leadership opportunities. Expertise deserves compensation—not tokenism.
From blueprint to belonging
We’re gathering a founding core, preparing nonprofit incorporation, and planning a youth-centered listening session. Bring your lived experience, organizing skills, or legal and social-work expertise.

Currently or formerly in placement? Your priorities should shape what comes next. Our planned listening session will inform the collective’s programs and governance.
